HARD Oil is a patent-pending product that is uniquely designed to solidify fats, oil, andcooking grease (FOG) into an easy-to-handle, non-toxic solid disc that can be disposed ofwithout threat to your drainage and septic systems.

HARD OIL ®’s Cooking Oil Solidifying Process Works in Just 6 Simple Steps
Turn the heat off and use HARD OIL® immediately after cooking is finished. OIL must be HOT
Pour 1 scoop of HARD OIL® for every cup of cooking oil. Increase the amount of HARD OIL® to double or triple if there is heavy breading or batter in the oil.
Stir HARD OIL® and cooking oil together until HARD OIL® completely dissolves the cooking oil.
Wait approximately 1 hour until the cooking oil has cooled completely to a solid state. Larger pots or fryer may require longer cooling times.
To discard, first release the solidified oil from the surface of the pot by sliding a spatula along the edge.
Dispose of the oil in the trash or compost it.
WARNING: Please keep out of the reach of children. Please do not eat HARD OIL® .
Turn off heat before using the product and do not use near fire, flame or sparks. Oil cannot be reused once product is added. Store in a cool and dry place. The product may liquefy at temperatures exceeding 122°F or 50°C.

This makes disposing used oil pretty easy, with no mess. Just make sure that the oil is not cold when you add the powder. Easy to scoop off after it solidifies.
